Giants of Africa the Film: Can Sport Really Change the World?

Award-winning Canadian filmmaker Hubert Davis turns his lens on the work of Giants of Africa and basketball camps organized in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Rwanda, which are aimed at helping youngsters develop their skills in basketball and as the next generation of community leaders.

At the core of this award winning film, is the notion of using basketball as a tool to create lasting change and to empower others to dream big, while growing the game in Africa. A native of Nigeria, Toronto Raptor’s President, Masai Ujiri’s love for basketball paved his way to becoming the first African- born General Manager for a major North American sports team and he never forgot his roots, or the opportunities presented to him.

The film follows a journey across four African countries....and one especially close to Peggy Taillon Founder of HERA Mission and her son Devlin Kenya.

If you love basketball, or any sport for that matter and you believe that sport can change the world you'll be inspired by the stories of the young men whose lives are transformed at the Giants of Africa Camps. View the trailer
